The renewal for mind, body, and spirit that we offer at Poplar Creek Spa through our variety of customized, all-natural services is only increasing in importance.

We are a locally-owned, woman-owned business, owned and operated by a practicing licensed massage therapist. We offer massage therapy, spa services, aesthetics, and an infrared sauna. In our positive and drama-free culture, we aim to facilitate your personal and professional growth, and work to ensure the longevity of your career by avoiding overwork and providing opportunities for self-care. We strive to conduct business in a way that minimizes our ecological footprint, and are an equal opportunity employer.

Ooltewah is one of, if not the, fastest growing parts of the Chattanooga area. With a relatively temperate climate, a plethora of outdoor activities, and a low cost of living, the small-town appeal of Ooltewah combines the convenience of the Chattanooga metropolitan area to create a highly desirable place to live.

If our culture and the way we do things sounds appealing, we’d love to talk to you! We gladly accept applications for any of our positions at any time, but below are the positions we’re currently interviewing for. To apply, click the button below.

Front Desk Associate

At our front desk, as the face of the company, your professionalism and customer service builds trust and establishes a foundation for our providers to build on. Your personal connection with our guests drives overall company success by increasing customer retention and sales.

We currently have a full-time, long-term position available, with the potential to grow into a career in spa management. Hourly pay starts at $15/hour, plus the opportunity for regular bonuses depending on company performance.

The starting hours are Sundays 9am to 6pm, and Monday through Thursday, 4 to 9pm. We’ll consider applicants for every other Sunday and two weekday evenings per week. As the company grows, you may have the opportunity to add more hours and/or shift to a more weekday 9-5 schedule, and eventually grow into a management position. We’re closed Saturdays, so you’ll always have at least one weekend day off each week. All front desk associates need to have some flexibility to fill in for the rest of the team as needed.

Your organization and attention to detail support our service staff, enabling them to focus on what they love and do best. Follow established processes and procedures to keep the company running smoothly on a day to day basis; offer your input for improving on those processes and procedures to help us continually evolve in a positive and progressive way.

With a variety of job duties and playing a crucial role in a close-knit team, you’ll get industry experience fast in a respectful, drama-free culture under values-based leadership that truly cares about the team.

Retail, receptionist, and/or beauty counter experience is helpful but nor required.

Licensed Massage Therapist

As a Licensed Massage Therapist at Poplar Creek Spa, you’ll be a W2 employee, not a 1099. (This makes filing your taxes extremely simple.) Pay is hourly, dependent upon experience. Enjoy employee perks like discounts for both you and an immediate family member and unlimited trading between staff members across modalities. CEs, license renewal, and your liability insurance coverage may be negotiated into your compensation package. Full- and part-time positions are currently available immediately.

We provide all equipment and supplies, linens and laundry, plus we handle scheduling, payment processing, and all aspects of the business side of things.

We’ll work with you to customize your schedule based on your own daily hands-on maximum, to avoid overworking you. We want to help prolong your career! A set schedule from week to week works best for building your clientele; Sundays and evenings are always in highest demand, but our mornings and afternoons are busy too. We’re closed Saturdays though, so even if you work a Sunday, you’ll always have at least one weekend day off each week.

Our massage therapists customize each session to guests’ individual needs and preferences, so you’ll have the opportunity to use your own individual fusion of modalities, performing both therapeutic/deep tissue work as well as lighter, more relaxation work. Got a specialty? Great, we’re happy to discuss how to incorporate that into our service menu.

We’ll train you in effective client intakes so you can clearly communicate with your clients to discover what those individual needs are, and what the guest should expect during and after their treatment. Use these communication skills to create a personal connection with your clients, driving personal and overall company success through client retention and sales through education.

We’ll train you in our established processes and procedures so you can help keep the company running smoothly on a day to day basis, and we’ll welcome your input on how to improve those processes and procedures to help us continually evolve in a positive and progressive way.

We’ll also train you in a variety of spa services using all-natural products, leaving you feeling good about what you’re putting on your guests’ skin.

You’ll be part of a close-knit and collaborative team in a positive, drama-free culture where everyone supports each other’s success, under values-based leadership that truly cares about the team.

Licensed Acupuncturist

As a Licensed Acupuncturist at Poplar Creek Spa, you’ll be a W2 employee, not a 1099. (This makes filing your taxes extremely simple.) Pay is hourly. Enjoy employee perks like discounts for both you and an immediate family member, and unlimited trading between staff members across modalities. CEs, license renewal, and your liability insurance coverage may be negotiated into your compensation package.

Part-time position available, with the opportunity to grow your practice to full time. Our acupuncture services have always been in high demand since we began offering them in 2017, and we are currently without an acupuncturist.

We provide all equipment and supplies, linens and laundry, plus we handle scheduling, payment processing, and all aspects of the business side of things. Patient herbs can be ordered as needed; any herb inventory would be managed by spa staff. All you have to do is come to work and do what you love!

Our acupuncturists customize each session to their patients’ individual needs and preferences, so you’ll get to use your own individual training and experience to treat as you see fit. Got a specialty? Great, you’ll have the freedom to build your practice around whatever you love most to treat and feel most competent at.

In the past we have provided an acupuncture assistant to handle everything outside of the treatment room, allowing you to seamlessly operate from two to four patient rooms at a time. If you desire an assistant, we can explore hiring for that position as well. Front desk staff handles all patient communication - no more pressure on your part to return phone calls or emails about scheduling during your downtime. To put it simply: You come in, see your patients, write your notes, and that’s it.
